The Programme in Comparative Media Law (PCMLP) at Oxford University was founded by Prof. Monroe Price and is part of the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies.

PCMLP provides an understanding of the playing out of human rights debates in media systems and the impact of media changes on democratic values and economic development.

PCMLP is also the UNESCO Chair in Communications Law and Policy for the United Kingdom and manages the Media Know How Project, which provides and disseminates information on British and other European media law and policies that can be used to help develop and reform aspects of media law and practice in other countries.
