Dublin Institute of Technology
The Dublin Institute of Technology was established as an autonomous institution under the DIT Act in 1992, but its origins go back to 1887 and the establishment of technical education in Ireland.
Although it lacks the word "university" in its name, DIT is a member of European University Association, a higher educational establishment offering a range of courses in most diverse fields of knowledge.
The School of Media offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for traditional, new and emerging media.
Undergraduate programmes are offered in Media Arts, Journalism and Photography.
MA courses are delivered in Digital Media Technologies, Journalism, Public Relations, and Media Studies.
