French Experts In Kyiv
Experts from France have been working with Ukrainian academics and students in Kyiv National University on developing editorial guidelines for students.

Initiated at the request of Dr Volodymyr Rizun, Director of the Institute of Journalism in Kyiv, the series of workshops was caused by students’ ever more active involvement in the work f mass media.

However, a lot of editorial guidelines in many mass media do not work while they should provide for accuracy, lack of bias, and objectivity of journalists’ work. This is why it is important that students become convinced of the need of these basic principles whule still at their universities.

The French experts, delegated by Ecole Superieur de Journalism de Lille, worked on editorial guidelines for television and print journalism, Philippe Brachet and Stephanie Maurice, respectively; Patrick Lellemant has been working on guidelines for radio; while Pascal Rossignol will work on guidelines for photojournalism; and Dimitri de Kochko, on agency journalism.

The Prohect plans to publish this set of guidelines under one cover.
