Old Year Finishes with Successful Workshops
12 students of the Institute of Journalism in Kyiv had their practical experience enhanced during workshops organized by the Project.
The Project's team leader, Tony Howson, led the workshop on TV programmes production. 5 students of Years 2 and 3 took part. A lively and colourful programme on Kyiv tram system, its present-day state and history was the result of the workshop.
8 students of Years 2 and 3 of the Institute of Journalism had an opportunity to accomplish their creative ideas during TV and radio workshops held by the Project's media expert, Andriy Kulykov. The three who chose radio made a programme on how books for children are read and spread in Ukraine. The TV group made a programme on how money affects the way students usher in the New Year. As one of the authors, Alina Yelovenkova, noted, in order to welcome the New Year in style, an average student could need to start saving as early as March 8.
A seeming discrepancy in figures of participants in every workshop and the aggregate number of participating students is explained by the fact that a 2-Year student, Yelyzaveta Oiynyk, took part in one of the TV workshops, as well as in the radio workshop.
The resulting programmes were made on equipment rented by ZHORNA.
