An experienced Agence France Presse journalist and lecturer at Ecole Superieure de Journalism in Lille Dimitri de Kochko spent two weeks in November working with students and teachers of journalism at Tavria National University.

Working with several student groups, the French expert, brought over by "Zhorna" Project, paid main attention to information processes in news agencies.

Simferopol students performed parts of information agencies employees during role games.

"We composed a despatch on fishnapping of a goldfish from the Sevastopol Aquarium," said a first-year studnt, Yana Lyushnevska. "The event was imaginary of course but I think such activity was important because I took part in the virtual news agency work."

A second-year student, Kateryna Ustenkova, says she has learned how to write despatches during the training. This is not as simple as may look at first, she admits.

In addition to working with students, Dimitri de Kochko worked with Simferopol teachers developing learning modules for the next year.
